Holidays to Tenerife – Types of Auto Rental Charges

With close to a million inhabitants housed in a land area of 785.47 square miles, Tenerife is the biggest and most populous island in the Canary Islands. With its amazing natural wonders, great beaches, nice accommodations, unique culture, interesting delights, lively nightlife, and friendly people, it is no surprise that Tenerife is one of the preferred holidaymaker destinations worldwide. Over 5 million visitors a year spend their customised holidays to Tenerife, and that number is still increasing.

Since Tenerife is a reasonably large island, you’d need some kind of transportation if you want to explore every nook and crevice. And going by car is one of the best methods to go around places. There’s a lot of car hire providers in Tenerife, offering you great deals for the service.

Should you be considering to rent a motor vehicle in Tenerife, you need to know some of the costs that are stipulated in a typical contract.

1. Airport Surcharges and Drop-off Fees
Airport surcharges are to be paid when you prefer to have the car waiting for you at the airport’s parking area. Drop-off fees are charged in case you drop off the automobile at a different place other than the agreed pick-up or drop-off point.

2. Fuel Charges
A fuel charge is a common charge that car hire companies add to your bill for gas. Rules differ per company. As an example, a rental company may give you half tank at a certain charge and require you to return the car with the gas tank empty. Another company may fill the tank and charge you how much fuel you used. In addition, there may be rental firms that will not charge you for fuel but requires you to return the automobile with a full tank. If you don’t, you’re often charged with the company’s price for fuel, which is higher higher than in a local station.

3. Mileage Fees
Rental firms may charge mileage fees that are determined on either a cents-per-mile basis or a one-time fee should you go over your allotted free mileage cap.

4. Taxes
Taxes are levied by some places. In order to avoid an increased tax rate of an urban pick-up site, have the rental company arrange your reservation so that you can pick up your vehicle in a suburban location.

5. Accessories
Extra fees may be charged if you wish additional equipment such as ski racks or car seats for little ones. Ensure you reserve these accessories ahead of time.

Know these car hire charges before touring the attractions, wonders, skyscrapers, and beachfront hotels in Benidorm, Tenerife, or any place in the entire world.

New sidewalks in Puerto Vallarta

Some new and exciting things have happened in Puerto Vallarta this past high season. Even thou is was not the best time to do construction, the city of Puerto Vallarta started to widen most of the sidewalks in downtown and old town. They started this project in the first part of January and they are expected to finish by the end of May. Along with the new sidewalks which are now wheelchair accessible they are in the process of burring all the power and telephone wires.

According to my sources at city hall the city received the money from the federal government and had to use it in the first quarter of 2012 or lose it. That is why the construction took place in the middle of high season.
