IS THIS THE BEST DAY TRIP FROM PUERTO VALLARTA? | Exploring Sayulita & San Pancho Vlog

This week we’re taking one of the best day trips from Puerto Vallarta and exploring the small seaside towns of Sayulita and San Pancho. About an hour by bus from Puerto Vallarta, Sayulita is a super charming surfing town that’s been quite built up over the years but still retains all the chill vibes of a beach town with some incredible restaurants, shopping and cultural experiences! We spent one night in an incredible AirBnb (https://bit.ly/SayulitaAirBnb) and loved getting to relax at Sayulita Beach and the smaller, more secluded Playa de los Muertos.

The next day we took a taxi up the coast about ten minutes to the town of San Pancho and found another quaint little surfer town, not nearly as touristy as its neighbor but just as charming. We happened to be there during an annual festival celebrating the town’s namesake St. Francis (the town is interchangeably called San Francisco or San Pancho), and saw a spirited parade (with drag queens!) and got to witness the whole town celebrate the occasion in a nearby park.

All in all, this is a day trip from Puerto Vallarta we *highly* recommend – if you’re looking for a fun, affordable and relaxing mini vacation from the hustle and bustle of PV, you’ll love Sayulita and San Pancho!
