If you are retired or will be retiring soon or just looking to live the digital nomad lifestyle subscribe and hit the bell, we talk about budget retirement options, cost of living, rental property investments and rentals in retirement hotspots around the world. I am Sandy Ingram your hostess and I will be departing Mexico for another country that is popular with retirees soon. However today I will share with you how ex-pats find homes in Puerto Vallarta starting at $50,000.

What you do is come to this site, it helps if you understand how to read and speak Spanish, if not, pay someone to help you translate or you can try to use the translation option on your computer. Paying for reliable help is best because they can help you navigate which neighborhoods are more accepting of ex-pats.

The locals in Puerto Vallarta earn between $400 to $600 US dollars a month. The majority of them never shop at places like Wal-Mart or Costco. They shop at the local markets where the cost of food and essentials is lower, much lower. The cost for electricity is low as is the cost for bottled water cable TV and internet. You may want to invest in a generator if you plan to stay in Mexico year-round. During the rainy season, the electricity goes out sometimes. You may also want to get a satellite dish for your Internet and cable TV connection. Be sure it is secure, PV does not get hurricanes very often, however, when they do, the winds are strong. Once your housing is paid for, living on $800 a month for one person is more than easy.
