Puerto Vallarta Restaurant Guide Beck’s Best © 2004-2014 A Guide for Food Lovers

¡Hóla! Love our Paraíso, right? Certainly I have since my first visit in 1979. The many years of exploring the dining opportunities of the PV Bay Area are now contained in my spiral-bound guide’s latest edition of 390 spots on 130 pages and categorized picks updated as new information flows in. Food is my obsession, having spent 20+ years in the restaurant biz. Love to cook, dine, entertain, collect and create recipes. Exploring is a never-ending experience. Puerto Vallarta is the place for that! Please feel free to send me updates, corrections, additions and comments. I desire all advice as it personalizes and makes this guide even more useful to everyone. It’s all about sharing! If you would like to join a group for dining with a three course meal, email me. Gary’s Groupies is held two times each month of the season.

My Personal Experiences

It has been 34+ years since my feet hit the hot tarmac at the airport of Puerto Vallarta the first time. No longer are there mini fiestas greeting you. One time in particular there was a full mariachi with lovely senoritas handing out samples of tequila with a sombrero key chain! Every visitor and resident experiences and loves various aspects of this Paraíso. The following are merely one man’s dining opinion and information which may differ from many others’ experiences. Longtime favorite places to immerse myself in the culture and cuisine of Vallarta are topped by Café des Artistes, Trio and River Café, then a small group follows including La Leche, Vitea, Barcelona Tapas, La Palapa, Daiquiri Dick’s, La Cigale and El Palomar de los González. And don’t forget dozens more as Esquina de los Caprichos, Polo’s, El Brujo, El Arrayán, Eat at David’s, Gilmar, Tony’s Please, Ernesto’s and Casa Naranjo. Due to the wealth of creative chefs and owners, worldwide cuisines are offered and perfected. A cluster of around 30 more places follow in this class, too many to mention. By studying this dining guide, one will gather the overall depth of dining quality available locally.

¡Buen Provecho! Enjoy…

Thank you for purchasing my guide.
