Imagina una cueva abierta al cielo, donde las arenas doradas se encuentran con las aguas azul esmeralda del Océano Pacífico. Esta parte de las Islas Marietas se ve completamente cerrada, invisible desde el mar, pero desde el aire se ve una playa escondida que se conoce como Playa del Amor. https://www.puertovallarta.net/espanol/que-hacer/islas-marietas
Playa del Amor, que como mencionamos, también se conoce como Playa Escondida es un oasis privado con aguas cristalinas de color verde azulado y arena blanca y dorada, escondida dentro de una isla exuberante en un cráter. Accesible solo cuando la marea está baja, esta playa en sí misma es un paraíso para los soñadores (o para los amantes), aunque hoy en día no es tan secreta como lo era antes.
Pero, ¿realmente importa cuando estás visitando la playa? No estarás solo, pero te sentirás como si estuvieras a un millón de kilómetros de la vida cotidiana.
Una cosa que promueve esta sensación de aislamiento es que solo se puede acceder a esta playa escondida en particular a través de un túnel tallado por el actuar del agua oceánica donde nadar es la única forma de ingresar. El cruce es relativamente fácil (alrededor de 1 a 1.5 metros de espacio libre), pero a algunos turistas les resulta complicado moverse contra las corrientes del Océano Pacífico, por lo que la playa escondida se siente menos como un destino y más como un regalo.

Imagine a cave open to the sky, where the golden sands meet the emerald-blue waters of the Pacific Ocean. Once upon a time, this part of the Marietas Islands https://www.puertovallarta.net/what_to_do/marieta-islands would be completely enclosed - invisible from the sea and from the air.
Hidden Beach is a private oasis with crystal green-blue waters and white-golden sand, tucked away within a lush island. Accessible only when the tide is low, this beach itself is a dreamer's (or lover's) paradise - although nowadays it's not as secret as it once was.
But does it really matter when you're visiting the beach? You will not be alone, but you will feel like you are a million miles away from everyday life.
One thing that promotes this sense of isolation is this particular hidden beach is only accessible through a seawater carved tunnel where swimming is the only way to get in. The crossing is relatively easy (about 3 to 6 feet of headroom above the water level), but some tourists do find it tricky to move against the currents of the Pacific Ocean, so the hidden beach feels less like a destination and more like a gift.
In 2005, Marietas Island was named Parque Nacional Islas Marietas.
