Puerto Vallarta Rentals Blog

Over the past few weeks, things have been anything but normal here in the Bahía de Banderas.

From the events on February 22nd in Puerto Vallarta…
To the wildfires in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle…
To the “inmueble asegurado” situation in the Terralta area of Bucerías…

In this video, I break down what actually happened, what it felt like on the ground, and what it means moving forward.

? What we cover:
• February 22nd events in Puerto Vallarta and across the bay
• Wildfires in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle (March 2026)
• The Terralta “inmueble asegurado” investigation in Bucerías
• What homeowners actually experienced
• What’s changed — and where things stand now

A Local Perspective

There’s a lot of information (and misinformation) circulating online.

This video is based on:
• First-hand experience
• What we observed locally
• Conversations with homeowners and neighbors
• Publicly available updates

? What Stood Out Most

Despite everything, one thing really stood out:

The community.

Neighbors helping neighbors.
Locals and foreigners supporting each other.
People coming together during uncertain moments.

? I’d love to hear from you:

How would you have handled a situation like this?
Would you stay — or head home?
