Tim and I officially LIVE IN MEXICO now!! We’ve driven from Dallas to Puerto Vallarta and, after a month of traveling, we were ready to find a place to call home (even for just a little while).

TIP: If you are looking for an apartment, house, or condo in Mexico — do your research and meet with several agents before moving forward. There are a lot of people who call themselves real estate agents in Puerto Vallarta, however they do not actually need a license to sell real estate! We were able to meet the owner of the apartment and our lease was written in both Spanish and English!!!! We also made sure to pay with a credit card in case we needed to dispute any charges.

We are so happy we’ve made it. We love our new apartment and we are excited that we can finally settle in. STAY TUNED TO FIND OUT WHICH APARTMENT WE CHOSE!!!!!

APARTMENT #1

$600 USD per month / third floor, studio apartment in west old town. By the market.

APARTMENT #2

$1000 USD per month / second floor, 2 bed/1 bath apartment in downtown. Two blocks from the beach.

(And, of course we know Mexico is in the Americas, however “Americans” is also a common term used to describe people from the United States of America. Calling ourselves “U.S. Citizens” doesn’t flow off the tongue as well and isn’t the name we call ourselves. Plus, the title works well as click bait… 😉 It got you to watch!)

¡Hola! My name is Brendin. My husband, Tim, and I moved from Texas to Mexico in September 2017! We love living in Puerto Vallarta, not only because of the natural beautiful surroundings, cultural richness, and low cost of living, but also because of the delicious and abundant local plant foods. Tim and I choose to follow a vegan lifestyle for our health, for the animals, and for the planet! We believe in compassionate living, sustainability, and minimalism.

Our videos are about our personal journeys, our life, and what we have learned while living in Mexico. We hope to share the uniqueness of the Mexican culture and what our life is like as vegans in Mexico!
